Champions deserve much more text, and to be the first mentioned in the class list! Other than that, good effort . |

on a more serious note
anas really gay....
however, burg you've kinda mish mashed the trait lines/stances/ways of playing into one mess, seperate it out, mischief/stealth stances, then trait line sk/gambler/mm, then ways to play |

"OK, Burglars they are the stealthy class "= yes, but
"most of their skills come from attacking from stealth" = Surprise Strike/Aim/Location is Everything/Diversion/Trip are pretty much the only skills I use from stealth that's around 1/6 of my skills.
(Although the Surprise Strike skill is high damaging in-combat and the Aim skill can be used in-combat also)
The rest you wrote is pretty accurate.
My Experiences as a Burglar:
The Mischief stance is the most effective in raiding, and in solo the Mischief stance is my primary stance because of the skills it allows you to use/effects it has on other skills.
Stealth at lv60 I use very rarely now. Stealth is nice for lower level sneaking around (helps when soloing quests that usually require a fellowship).
Burglar is the primary FM starter, it has around 6 ways of starting a FM, and are pretty integral to any fellowship, especially on hard bosses.
Burglar is also very good at doing critical hits and devastating hits at a high rate, this makes it a great soloing class, along with its de-buffing skills, gamble skills, CC and EVADE, evading targets is a burglar's big advantage over its enemies.
Ways to start a FM: exploit opening / exposed throat / hips then Trip / Marbles / random chance. You can also do "ready and able" to recover exploit opening/hips/trip if they are on CD when a FM is desperately needed.
Burglar Signals: These give a 15% increase to whatever FM element you have been assigned.
RED (strength) +15% strength to all members on use.
BLUE (tactics) +15% power boost to all members on use.
YELLOW (guile) +15% guile skills
GREEN (conviction) +15% Morale boost/pulses on use.
Anyone looking to be a Burglar I would recommend these trait lines:
4 Quiet-knife / 3 Gambler, OR
4 Gambler / 3 Quiet-knife, OR
4 Quiet-knife / 3 MM, OR
If you want to be a full gambler
5 gambler/2 quiet-knife.
I use the first trait line listed, reason:
Quiet-Knife (4)
2 Slotted Traits:
+5% Positional Damage
+10% Skills critical multiplier
3 Slotted Traits:
+456 Melee Critical Rating
4 Slotted Traits:
+5% Positional Damage
+10% Positional damage and +20% Critical Multiplier for 30s upon Devastating Critical
Gamble(3)
2 Slotted Traits:
25% chance for Clever Retort to apply a Damaging Gamble
3 Slotted Traits:
25% chance for Startling Twist to apply a Disabling Gamble
Surprise Strike deals bonus damage to Gambled targets.
(these gamble % can be increased through legendary tools gamble chance %+)
In addition Cruel Odds as a gamble trait (3rd gamble trait)- Burglar's Advantage and Double-edged Strike will have a 10% chance to apply a Critical Vulnerability debuff to your target. This is increased to 25% when there is an active gamble.
My class traits:
Quiet-Knife - Ambidextrous, Cunning Wound, Focused eye, Hidden Dagger. (Decided Focused Eye is good and an alternative to switching off mischief stance to use feint attack, because focused eye trait lowers Aim timer to 1 min, and this with SS from behind is very similar to using the feint attack method).
Gambler - Cruel Odds, Side-Step, Swift and Subtle. (swap swift and subtle with overwhelming odds in raids where you do not need to chain riddle, because Overwhelming odds empowers you after a FM and increases the potency of your tricks)
But for raiding and instances when riddle is needed I would recommend swapping the gambler traits for mischief-maker (3) preferably the perplexing riddle, Complicated terms, and Disabling attack. (use blind fury trait in case your in a place with high song resist so you can get hate off mini if needed, GS).
The weapons I recommend for high speed is Dual-daggers. This is because Burglars can be fast hitting, and also the dagger mastery passive skills allow for more damage for burglar's, and highly increased critical hit rates but are medium damage 500-950 crit.
The other choice (I now think BEST) I recommend for best DPS is Mace/Club or Mace/dagger because if your a hobbit burglar you have a race trait for increased 3% club damage, and maces dps maxes out higher, its speed is slower but heavy hitting, and allows more timing in skill chains and combo's.
Stats to aim for (most important to least):
Agility
Might / Vitality (try to get a balance between these 2)
Fate
Will
Ratings:
Evade rating
Melee rating
Parry rating
I may add more later I know its probably a dis-organised layout but I learn from the best anar. jk. _________________ Strife - 60 - Burglar
